Looking for natural cures to fight the H1N1 virus.

There are some people who are lining up to get the H1N1 vaccine; and there are others are looking for a more natural way to battle the virus.

One of these possibilities is using naturopathic drugs, which is reliant on the assumption that the body can heal itself through diet, exercise and life changes. "I don't recommend vaccination shots for H1N1," expounded Beatrice Levinson, owner of Monterey Bay's Naturopathy.

"My recommendation: the basics are exercise, diet, water and sleep. Besides a diet full of natural health foods and getting masses of exercise, naturopaths also endorse certain natural products and additions to lift the body's immune response.”

One of those products is elderberry syrup. Packed with Vitamin C, the super-concentrated syrup contains compounds that will fight off viruses.  Levinson claimed she saw an increase of clients who are selecting naturopathy over traditional western medication because people are searching for paths to not only prevent and treat sicknesses, but to revive health.

Levinson said sweating, which removes poisons and enhance the body's immune reaction, can help fight the H1N1 virus. The FDA, in the meantime, is warning people to be conscious of lots of products and nutritive additions sold over the web that are sold as natural H1N1 cures. The FDA stated that it has seized 135 products on the Internet making unproven H1N1 claims. Health officials asserted they are most worried about products that use silver.
